Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremony

Students that graduated Summer 2024 and Fall 2024, as well as upcoming Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 graduates are invited to participate in the Spring Commencement Ceremony!

Please carefully read the information on this page for participating graduates and complete the registration form by the April 22, 2025, deadline!

Two ceremonies will be held on May 9, 2025. All students participating in the graduation ceremony will be required to register by the deadline. Students will attend the ceremony that is assigned for their program of study. Guest seating in the sanctuary will be first come, first serve.

10am Ceremony

  • Students who are in the following programs will attend the 10AM ceremony – Allied Health Programs, Computer Information Systems Programs, Arts and Sciences, EMS and Paramedicine programs. Program examples include: Cardiovascular, Medical Assisting, Nursing, Health Care Management, General Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies, Networking, Cybersecurity, Phlebotomy Technician, plus ALL OTHER Allied Health, Computer Information Systems, and Arts and Sciences programs.
  • Students will need to arrive by 8:30 AM for check-in
  • Graduates should arrive wearing their regalia.
  • Upon arrival at New Hope Baptist Church, please park in the designated area(s). Do not park in reserved parking spaces.
  • Check-in tablesfor name cards will be the first stop for all graduates. Graduates must always keep their issued name cards with them.
  • If you participated in any 十大网赌平台推荐 club or organization(s), you will need to see the advisor(s) regarding tassels and/or cordsfor that club or organization prior to the day of graduation.
  • Participating graduates will receive one diploma cover at the ceremony. Official credentials are mailed out approximately 8 weeks after final grades are received at the end of the graduating term.

2pm Ceremony

  • Students who are in these programs will attend the 2:00 PM ceremony – Business, Film Technology, Professional Services, First Responder, Technical and Industrial Technology Programs, Adult Education, and Dual Enrollment (High School). Program examples include: Accounting, Adult Education, Business Management, Business Technology, Culinary Arts, Film Technology, Criminal Justice Technology, Forensic Science, Industrial Systems Technology, Automotive Technology, Early Childhood, Paralegal, plus ALL OTHER Business, Professional Services, Technical and Industrial Technology programs.
  • Students will need to arrive by 12:30 PM for check-in
  • Graduates should arrive wearing their regalia.
  • Upon arrival at New Hope Baptist Church, please park in the designated area(s). Do not park in reserved parking spaces.

IMPORTANT!

Please note,  participation in the ceremony does not imply or guarantee completion of the diploma, degree, or certificate. You still must meet ALL PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND PASS. 

Graduation Application/Priority Application Deadline

If you have not yet submitted your Graduation Application for the Fall 2024, Spring 2025, or Summer 2025 semester, make sure to do that before registering for the ceremony and reading this section. If you have questions about you’re application or eligibility to participate in the ceremony please email registrar@132072.com.

Complete Your Graduation Application

All graduation applications must be submitted at least one term prior to completion of the program of study. Once received, the Registrar’s Office will complete an audit of missing requirements. To ensure your name is in the Graduation Program, we must receive your Graduation Application and the $40 non-refundable processing fee by Thursday, March 27, 2025.

After this date, your name will NOT be in the program.

Adult Education Students

To ensure your name is in the Graduation Program, you must submit your Attendance Confirmation form to Ms. Traylor by Tuesday, March 25, 2025

After this date, your name will NOT be in the program.

Fees

Fees are the same, regardless of whether you have earned a degree, diploma or a certificate (TCC).

The graduation application processing fee is $40 (non-refundable). This fee is required for all graduates to have credentials printed and processed.

The graduation regalia package (cap/gown/stole/tassel) fee is $70.00 plus a $4.95 service charge. This fee will be paid to Scholastic Images and not 十大网赌平台推荐.

Graduation Regalia – Graduation Regalia Pickup – Graduation Day Attire – DEADLINE

Ordering your Graduation Regalia

An email with the link to order your regalia package online through Scholastic Images will be sent to you after you register for graduation and submit the completed registration form, AND the Registrar’s Office has verified you have submitted a graduation application and paid the $40 non-refundable graduation processing fee.  (please do not share this link with others)

Deadline

  • You must order your regalia package by the deadline of April 4, 2025
  • Any orders after the April 4, 2025, deadline will be subject to late fees.

Adult Education Students

An email with the link to order your regalia package online through Scholastic Images will be sent to you after you register for graduation and submit the completed registration form, AND the Adult Ed Office confirms you have submitted your Attendance confirmation Form.

Graduation Regalia Pickup

You MUST pick up your graduation regalia package from the Scholastic Images representative on the designated pickup date, unless you select the shipping option when ordering. Please note an additional $25 will apply to have your Regalia shipped directly to your home address.

If you choose the pick-up option for regalia, you must pick up your regalia prior to the date of graduation.

The regalia pick up will take place on the Griffin Campus only. The pickup date, time, location, and link for Scholastic Images will be provided in the regalia package email sent by the Registrar’s Office.

IMPORTANT!

It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that their gown fits properly before leaving the Regalia Pick-up Event. Southern Crescent Technical College is not responsible for ill-fitting gowns or any issues. Be sure that you have a COMPLETE Regalia package (cap, gown, tassel, and stole) BEFORE you leave the pick-up event, as additional caps, gowns, tassels, or stoles will not be available once Scholastic Images concludes their participation in the pick-up event, nor available on the day of the ceremony. Also, if you choose the shipping option, you are still responsible for ensuring the fit of your gown and that you have a COMPLETE Regalia package.

Graduation Day Attire

  • Your complete regalia package should include capgownstole, and tassel. All graduation gowns and caps will be black in color. Furthermore, any graduation caps and gowns provided/purchased prior to January 2018 cannot be used.
  • Make sure your gown and stole are wrinkle free before graduation day.
  • There is no storage at the ceremony facility for students to leave hangers or personal items. Please note that the college and the facility will not be responsible or liable for any items left unattended.
  • During commencement, wear the tassel on the RIGHT side, moving it to the LEFT when the degree is conferred.
  • Please dress appropriately for standing and pictures. You MUST wear clothes under your gown. However, jeans, shorts, flip flops, and tennis shoes/sneakers are not permitted.
  • We recommend students choose low heels and comfortable shoes. You will be standing for a while.
  • Students are welcome to decorate their caps as long as there is no obscenity on them.

Honors Requirments

Honor Graduate

Students who complete their program requirements with a graduation GPA of 3.75 to 3.99 will be recognized as honor graduates. To receive the honor graduate recognition, a student must be completing a program/credential that requires 18 credit hours or more. This designation will be noted in the commencement program. Students participating in the ceremony and that are recognized as Honor Graduates will receive an honor cord and will be notified by the Registrar’s Office via email.

Honor Graduate with Distinction

Students who complete their program requirements with a graduation GPA of 4.00 will be recognized as honor graduate with distinction. To receive the honor graduate with distinction recognition, a student must be completing a program/credential that requires 18 credit hours or more. This designation is printed in the commencement program. Students participating in the ceremony and that are recognized as Honor Graduate with Distinction will receive a gold medallion and will be notified by the Registrar’s Office via email.

Graduate and Guest Conduct, Guest Information and Child Care

Conduct

All graduates and guests should arrive sober and not under the influence of any substance. If anyone is found to be intoxicated or under the influence, they will be escorted off the property by law enforcement officers.

Prohibited Items

o    Food in the sanctuary (auditorium)
o    Balloons of any shape or size are not permitted in any facility building.
o    Confetti is not permitted in any facility building.

o    Pets (only service animals permitted).
o    Beverages (only bottled water allowed in the sanctuary)

Guest Information

All guests MUST be seated during the ceremony.

Guests (and students) MUST NOT stand in the aisles to take pictures. Anyone doing so will be asked to sit down.

IMPORTANT!

Per New Hope Baptist Church rules and due to fire code regulations, the doors will be locked once full capacity seating has been reached inside the venue. We advise planning accordingly as there will be a limit of 4 guests per graduate.

SAVING seats is NOT allowed. Student Affairs personnel and police officers will seat guests in all available seats prior to the start of the ceremony. For guests that require special assistance, New Hope Baptist Church is ADA Compliant. 十大网赌平台推荐 is unable to reserve seating for guests with special needs. Please arrive early if you have specific seating needs.

  • Guest seating will begin at 9:00 a.m. for the 10:00 a.m. ceremony and 1:00 p.m. for the 2:00 p.m. ceremony.
  • All guests will enter through the main lobby and are advised to make their way to the sanctuary for seating.
  • Kindly show respect to others and avoid saving seats
  • Childcare facilities are not provided during the ceremony. All children must be under adult supervision at ALL times.
  • Graduation gifts will be available for purchase at the venue prior to and after the ceremony, provided by the 十大网赌平台推荐 bookstore.

Child Care

  • Childcare facilities are not provided.

Pictures

A professional photographer will be available to take your pictures the day of the Regalia Pick up on the Griffin Campus, as well as the day of the ceremony. The price list and order form will be sent via e-mail once you one week prior to Regalia Pick up.

Spring 2025 Graduation Ceremony Registration

IMPORTANT!

You must have completed a Graduation Application BEFORE completing and submitting the Graduation Ceremony Registration Form.

ATTENTION ADULT EDUCATION STUDENTS (GED/Hi-Set) – Please continue to complete this form. You do not need to complete a Graduation Application (refer to the Information for Graduates page).

Note: Diplomas will be mailed to the address you listed on your graduation application. Beginning with credentials awarded August 2023, 十大网赌平台推荐 has teamed with Parchment to offer graduates both a hard copy and official digital version of credentials. Please note to allow approximately 8-10 weeks (not including holidays or closings) after all final grades have been posted for the graduated term for an official award on transcripts, and for credentials to be ready and sent.
